On March 25, 2026, Diamond Environmental Services hosted a Clean Air Community Outreach Celebration at Spanish Landing Park West in partnership with the San Diego County Air Pollution Control District (SDCAPCD), the Port of San Diego, RIZON Trucks, and General Dynamics NASSCO. The event highlighted Diamond’s investment in sustainability through four Class 4-5 battery-electric RIZON trucks, funded by the Short-Haul, Zero-Emission Truck Pilot Project administrered by SDCAPCD. Local officials, community leaders, and partners gathered to experience the vehicles and learn about their role in reducing regional emissions.
Attendees participated in a ride-and-drive experience and heard from Diamond leadership and partners on the benefits of electric fleets. Retrofitted for Diamond’s operations, the trucks offer reduced maintenance, zero-emission performance, and enhanced safety while supporting service routes throughout the Port region. The event reinforced the impact of public-private collaboration and Diamond’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence and environmental responsibility.
