Diamond Environmental Showcases RIZON Electric Trucks

On December 12, 2024,  Diamond Environmental Services hosted an electric truck showcase at its San Marcos dispatch facility, introducing four new Class 4-5 battery-electric RIZON trucks by Daimler Truck. Funded through the Short-Haul Zero-Emission Truck Pilot Project (ZE Pilot Project) administered by the San Diego County Air Pollution Control District, these vehicles mark a significant step in advancing local sustainability efforts.

The event drew city officials, including San Marcos Mayor Rebecca Jones, representatives from the San Diego County Supervisor’s Office, and key community leaders, alongside Diamond Environmental and RIZON USA staff. Attendees experienced the trucks’ cutting-edge technology and ergonomic features during a ride-and-drive session, highlighting their potential for cleaner, more efficient urban transport.
