Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead daily transportation operations. The ideal candidate is a bilingual professional with strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of DOT/CHP regulations, and a commitment to safety and service excellence.

Responsibilities

Support and implement policies focused on: quality, cost reduction, safety, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, employee relations, and site performance.
Conduct driver-safety training and ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
Plan and oversee work procedures using manuals and practical experience with DOT-regulated vehicles.
Lead and coach employees with effective communication and professional development strategies.
Guide drivers through physicals, drug/alcohol testing, and DMV knowledge/skills testing.
Adhere to company rules and ensure punctual attendance.
Uphold and protect the company’s brand and public image.
Complete all assigned work and required documentation accurately.
Minimize internal and external customer complaints.
Meet or exceed safety, service, and productivity standards.
Lead issue resolution efforts for faster improvements and better team dynamics.
Ensure compliance with cost control, waste reduction, safety, and timely delivery goals.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required)
2+ years of transportation industry experience
2+ years of supervisory/management experience
Strong knowledge of DOT and CHP regulations
Experience conducting driver-safety training
Skilled in customer service and complaint resolution
Valid CA Driver’s License and a clean driving record

Preferred Skills

Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping
Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-first environment
