Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic Level 2 to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various mechanical systems. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for problem-solving, we want to hear from you. Working shift will be from 12pm-8:30pm.
Responsibilities:
-1. Ability to diagnosis, and repair major components of various truck and trailer equipment.
a. Engines (gas, diesel CNG and propane). External components.
i. Fuel Systems external lines, valves and pumps.
ii. Turbo Chargers and related components.
iii. Fan Clutches diagnostic and replacement.
b. Transmissions and clutches. Service and adjustment.
c. Electrical systems diagnostic and repair: starters, alternators, instruments and gauges.
d. Brake systems (Hydraulic and Air).
i. ABS inspection.
e. PTO systems.
f. Differentials.
g. Drive Line service, replacement and repair including universal joints.
h. Power Take Off installation service and repair including drive lines and universal joints
i. Wheel ends including bearings, hubs and spindles.
j. HVAC systems
k. Steering systems,
l. Engine bolt on items such as turbos, fan clutches, injectors, cooling system etc.
m. Suspension systems (spring and air)
2. Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications. Specialize in repairing and troubleshooting of, to include replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components etc. Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as computers, software, chassis charts, schematics and pressure gauges.
3. Utilize manufacturer provided software to access trouble codes and perform a parked regen.
Requirements:
– Minimum of 2-3 years of experience
– Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
– Requires a Valid CA Driver’s License / MUST have a clean driving record
– MUST be able to work overtime
– Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components
– Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
– Excellent problem-solving skills
