Fence Driver Installer

Classification Non-Exempt
Reports to General / Site Manager

Summary/Objective The role of the Fence Driver/Installer is to safely and efficiently install fencing per Diamond Environmental Services work orders provided.

Essential Functions

• Ability to safely operate vehicles on public roadways and observe and interpret all signals, signs and demarcations
• Use maps to plan and complete route assignments
• Ability to read and write to the extent required for safe vehicle operation and completion of company records such as routes, logs and manifests
• Work effectively with customers and with the dispatch team
• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods and lift, pull, push, up to 50 pounds and work overtime
• Ability to bend, stoop and climb in the performance of assigned duties
• Ability to operate company trucks including operating controls and safety equipment which may require the use of mechanical foot pedals, levers, switches, and steering apparatus
• Pass physical examinations, drug / alcohol testing.
• Follow all company rules, policies and procedures including promptly reporting for duty as scheduled
• Consistently meet all company standards for safety, service and productivity results

• Must have knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction and/or repair
• Loading the vehicle with all necessary equipment and materials to complete all work assigned for that day and that the load is correctly secured
• Set fence poles, installing fence and pulling fence according to customers specifications and expectations.
• Clean the vehicle and restock needed materials for future fence installations.
• Follow all company rules, policies and procedures including promptly reporting for duty as scheduled
• Avoid any activity that could adversely affect the company’s brand and image
• Complete all assigned work and related record-keeping
• Avoid generating internal or external complaints
• Consistently meet all company standards for safety, service and productivity results
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements & Physical Demands

Full time employees must be available weekends, holidays and all shifts based on customer & business needs

Ability to bend/stoop, climb, stand and sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Requires prolonged sitting, standing and intermittent bending/squatting

Maintain a valid driver license, this is a Safety Sensitive position and driving is an essential duty of your job; therefore, your position requires you to have a valid California driver license at all times and must remain insurable under the normal terms of the company’s auto insurance policies.

Fence Driver Installer Pay Rate: $25.00 – $28.00
